Life at Truro School - Independent Day and Boarding School in Cornwall, UK

The Truro school day begins at 8.45am, ends at 3.45pm and includes a lunchtime that lasts from 1.15pm to 2.30pm.

Why an Extended Lunchtime?

An extended lunch period is to enable students to join in with a host of lunchtime clubs and activities, as well as ensure that there is ample time for a healthy and nutritious lunch.

Wednesday Afternoon Activities

On a Wednesday Afternoon the 1st to 5th Years take part in a programme of co-curricular activities where they can choose from over 70 clubs and activities and, in addition, there are also clubs and sports for students to enjoy after school.

Making the most of our Facilities

The new Sir Ben Ainslie Sports Centre is open to students during the school day and provides a range of dance and studio classes, a fitness suite, squash course, badminton courts and a 25m swimming pool. The Dodd Library is also open during and after school, to enable students to study out of hours when necessary.
