Senior Boys’ Boarding Update – 26 September

The boys from Trennick have had a great weekend.

On Saturday morning the school hosted a block of rugby fixtures against Mount Kelly. Fahed and Josh were both in action for the 2nd XV who played MK’s 1st XV. In a close game, Truro emerged victors at 31 – 26.

Many congratulations to Callum who on Saturday afternoon participated in the County U17 squash open championships. After an afternoon of elimination match play, Callum progressed to the final and narrowly lost out to his opponent and became Cornwall U17 squash open runner-up, well done Callum.

During Saturday evening the boys really got into the football spirit. There were many premiere games that the boys watched. They followed this by playing more football on the PS4. The pool table was also popular. Next week the draw for the Trennick Autumn International Pool Knock-out Tournament will take place. This will involve all boys and staff from the house participating in this eagerly awaited event.

The boys really enjoyed the pizzas and spicy chicken wings during the evening. There was a choice of some hot BBQ jerk sauce or some Encona extra hot chilli sauce. Both were used and enjoyed.

The outing on Sunday was a Trennick favourite, Quad Biking. We are very fortunate that one of the best quad bike centres in the South West is only 6 miles from Truro. The boys had a great time. After the rain on Saturday the track was quite muddy and slippery, this only added to the fun during the afternoon. As you can see from some of the photos the boys were covered in mud. There were plenty of thrills and a couple of spills.
