Tennis Report- Wednesday 3 May

The day was all about playing for the Simpkin and Nicholson Cup and was held at the Heron Centre in Newquay.

With a change in pairings for the games due to unavailability from key players we knew it was going to be a challenge, but one that the players were going to be up for.

The girls played 4 games each against both pairings of Newquay Tretherras and St Ives. The boys played 4 games each against Wadebridge, Newquay Tretherras, Bodmin and St Ives. All pairings were determined to give the opposition a challenge, they worked hard and did well at motivating each other to keep going.

Some lovely tennis was played, ensuring they secured some points by fantastic positioning of the ball. In total all our players won a total of 49 games on the day but this wasn’t enough to come away with the trophy but great team work and performance was put in by all.
