On Tuesday 21 April ten Truro School students in the Sixth Form completed a sponsored kayak. The journey started at St Mawes and the end destination was Malpas, an impressive 13km from start to finish.
The trip along the River Fal started at 5pm with the help of Mr Warren who kindly provided the students with the kayaks, safety gear and a rig. The ten students, the Rev and Miss Hargreaves all set off from St Mawes while the sun was shining, kayaking through the beautiful scenery, including Toncarne Wood and Trelissick Gardens. The students want to thank everyone who has sponsored them and Mr Warren.
All money raised from the event is going towards the schools that the students will visit in Uganda this summer.
