Tutor System

Our aim at Truro School Sixth Form is to prepare you for the next step in your life. You will see your personal tutor every day and you'll receive first-rate careers guidance. We will do everything we can to help you stay on track.

If you look at the list of tutors on the People page you'll see that several of them are heads of academic departments in the school or hold other senior positions. In addition there are a number of Examiners and even Chief Examiners of A-Level exam boards among the tutors and teachers that you will come across - academically, the team looking after you and taking you through A-Level are very gifted and experienced.

You will find that relationships with teachers are more informal than you have experienced up to this point in your school career. You will be given more personal freedom and with that comes responsibility, but there will always be help to hand if you get into difficulties.

We expect that the combination of confidence, self-discipline and curiosity that you acquire here at Truro School will be of immense value to you, whether you go on to higher education or straight into a career.
