There are lots of very useful websites. There are links to many of these throughout the pages of this website, but those shown below are some of the best.
www.ucas.com – the main UCAS website and the most useful of all the sites. You can do a subject search that shows you where you can study any subject and, in the Entry Profiles, find out the grade and subject requirements, the course details, what the admissions tutors are looking for and useful information about the university. It also has hyperlinks into the university and the department websites.
www.woodyswebwatch.com – This acts as a portal to a very wide range of very useful sites and is, perhaps, the most useful of all the sites except the UCAS site.
www.thegooduniversityguide.org.uk – a new site that ranks universities on nine different measures and includes rankings fir 61 subjects. Lots of other useful information too.
www.erasmus.ac.uk – use this to find out about doing some of your degree course in a European university.
www.timesonline.co.uk – for the Times league tables.
www.unofficial-guides.com – for an alternative view of every university.
www.hesa.ac.uk – for statistics on higher education in Britain.
http://www.scit.wlv.ac.uk/ukinfo/ac/index.php - for an interactive map of Britain showing all the universities and colleges, with links to their websites.
www.prospects.ac.uk - an excellent careers website.
