Chemistry Teacher

Full time, permanent
To commence September 2015

We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and inspirational teacher of Chemistry to join our dedicated team from September 2015. Truro School Chemistry department is very popular with the students and many opt for Chemistry at A Level, with several each year going on to read the subject at university, including Oxbridge. The successful candidate therefore must be confident in teaching students from 11 – 18 and in particular, an extensive knowledge of Organic Chemistry at A2 level is advantageous.

With further scope for development within the Science department as a whole, we are aiming to recruit a person who is passionate about driving science forward. The successful candidate should therefore be able to teach across the sciences at Key Stage 3.

This post would equally suit a talented graduate teacher looking to make an impact or a more experienced teacher looking for more departmental responsibility. All staff are expected to contribute to the busy co-curricular life of the school.

Marketing Assistant

£16,000 per annum
37.5 hours per week, all year round

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate who is a strong communicator who enjoys using social media and working on web based projects. The role is initially offered on a fixed term basis until 31 July 2015 however may be extended following review in the Summer Term.

Physics Technician

£14,000 per annum
38.75 hours per week, term time only

Responsibilities are to facilitate the smooth running of the department by providing support to teaching, and to prepare, monitor and service equipment and resources where required.

You will have a sound physics background, demonstrate excellent organisational skills and have the ability to work accurately within a busy environment where short notice requests can often be made.
