Senior Girls’ Boarding Update: 16 January 2017

This week we have been busy settling back into the routine of school with the lower sixth girls finishing their mock exams. A big well done from all the staff here at Malvern after they had put in a tremendous effort.

After all the hard work the girls enjoying playing hockey, Trennick football and attending the boarding chapel service on Wednesday. It was exciting to hear about Jess and Emma’s meeting with the World Challenge group. They are planning a four week adventure in the Himalayas and have planned out their trekking route and what to do in their rest & relaxation phases.

Over the weekend the girls have been enjoying the new addition to the Malvern household. Our new foot spa. This gadget provides warm bubbly water that the girls have been using while doing school work. Hailey and Penelope used it with a gorgeous lavender bath crème so they ensured me their feet were smelling great! It will also be useful when the nail technician comes in a fortnight to give the girls manicures and pedicures which they are looking forward to.

On Sunday, after brunch, we teamed up with the junior girls from Pentreve and drove to the paint a pot in Looe. First, the girls had to choose their item be it a mug, plate, pot, bowl or money box. Yuki picked a teddy bear money box while Nicolette painted a matching set of mugs. Some of the girls used their phones to look at the designs with Chloe choosing a mystical magical night sky design while Nicolette’s was very colourful and intricate.

On Sunday evening all the girls sorted out their work for the week ahead and settled down to watch The Hobbit.

I sent out earlier in the week an email about travel details, if you have any queries please don’t hesitate to email me.
