Famous for washing
Bill Levene of Trennick House found himself pictured on page 4 of The Times on 18th September accompanying a story about recruitment of Sixth Form boarders. Asked about his experience of boarding, he was quoted as saying: “You do learn to be independent. You don’t have your parents around to do everything for you and you have to find your own way and set your own deadlines” He said that boarders learned about co-operation and teamwork living in a boarding house. “And I’ve learnt how to use the washing machine.”
