Other productions included: The Visit, Lady MacBeth, Living with Lady MacBeth, Captivated, Blue Remembered Hills, two LAMDA Concerts, Dracula, Top Girls (Lite), The Mischling (premiere of the musical) and (for GCSE) scenes from The Odd Couple, Fen and Womberang.
Theatre in Residence this year
Truro School has entered into a relationship with an emerging dynamic theatre company, cube, as part of its focus on developing the Burrell Theatre and drama within the school. Their one-man show Hyde and Seek was recently revived at the Burrell and a free performance offered to staff and students. This was in preparation for a showcase in front of large group of national promoters at the NRTF conference and the show will be touring locally this Autumn. cube will be bringing their explosive new adaptation of Hamlet to the Burrell in early Spring.
cube is led by artistic directors Ben Oldfield (Zenith Theatre and Hall for Cornwall) and Benjamin Symes (Truro School’s current Director of Drama) and operations director David Gibson (New Cornwall Opera).
