Sports

Sport is taken very seriously and we make strenuous efforts to ensure that coaching is inclusive for all pupils regardless of ability and also reaches to a high level.  The school currently excels in hockey, fencing, netball and cricket. 

Pupils have lessons in PE and swimming (in our own indoor heated pool), a games afternoon (netball, soccer and rounders for the girls; rugby, soccer and cricket for the boys) and an activities session, during which the younger pupils have tasters in a variety of activities including orienteering, chess, fencing and basketball, whilst older pupils can choose between tennis, hockey, sailing, canoeing and gardening.

There are representative teams in rugby, football (boys and girls), netball, hockey (both mixed and separate boys and girls), cricket, rounders, athletics, cross-country, tennis, swimming, fencing and chess.
