New £1,000,000 extension to the Pre-Prep Department at Truro School Prep was opened on Friday 2nd October by Lady Banham. The new extension is the culmination of three years of planning and construction work, involving South West firms, Cowlin Construction and NVB Architects, and was finished on time and to budget. The new wing has been built with the latest environmental features including sensitive lighting and under floor heating, and to ensure maximum natural light for the children in a calm and serene environment.

Headmaster, Matthew Lovett said, “We are thrilled with our new building! We have added some excellent new facilities, including interactive whiteboards in every classroom, separate wet and dry rooms for the Nursery, and covered outdoor space for each year group to enable all-weather play. The children love it! We feel that this new extension will enhance our School and most importantly help provide our children with the best start in life.”

The new wing enables Truro School Pre-Prep to double their intake of children at Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 to a two form entry, and maintain their small class sizes of a maximum of 16 children per class.
