Netball Weekly Summary – Week Beginning 19 September

U18 Vs The Maynard, Exeter Lost 24-29

A fantastic performance from the girls was blighted only by a disappointing second quarter (1-10), which set an obstacle ultimately too high to surmount. School controlled large periods of the game with Amy and Sophia having to work extremely hard in the circle to break down a solid Maynard defence. At one stage the gap was down to two goals but plenty of encouraging signs for the County Tournament.

U16 vs The Maynard, Exeter Won 42-11

Travelling away the girls were in good spirits and feeling confident. The team settled very quickly with super passing down court being converted to goal by Courtney and Alice, the team taking control. The squad are becoming versatile and Amelia Played exceptionally well at WA and WD. Overall an excellent performance from all nine players.

U14 vs The Maynard, Exeter Lost 24-29

A much improved performance from the U14s, demonstrating their true colours. With some new combinations and new players in the squad it was an excellent result against a side who for the previous two years had beaten us more easily. Truro in fact were winning at half time and it was only a poor third quarter that let The Maynard back into the game.
