Netball Summary – Week Beginning 16 March

Vs Penrice

Under 12’s A Won 23-11
Truro School played some nice steady netball on a lovely sunny afternoon, lots of different combinations were played with all girls getting plenty of court time. A good result against one of the County’s strongest teams at this age group.

Under 12’s B Won 14-8
With each match the girls are improving all aspects of their game play. This match was a good test for their defending skills and positive drives towards the ball. They forced Penrice to make errors but they need to work on capitalising on this by using the full 3 seconds to make a safe pass. Overall a good squad effort.

Under 13’s A Won 19-9
A fantastic performance from the Under 13’s for their final match of the season. Lily and Daisy performed well in the centre court whilst Aerin and Rebecca again performed superbly in the defensive circle making it very difficult for Penrice to score. Molly and Lily strengthened their partnership further and shot well. Molly was voted played of the match.

Under 13’s B Won 12-5
Truro put in a fantastic performance, focussing on changing direction and bringing the ball down court, in particular. Georgia, as team captain, led by example and the girls put in a genuinely team-orientated team performance. Many of these girls will be staking their claim for a place in the first team next season and this was a lovely end to a great season for the Under 13’s.

Under 15’s Won 53-14
The last match of the season gave the squad an opportunity to bring together their individual and team skills which they did with style. The players have really improved throughout the season and have been a pleasure to coach.
