Netball Summary – PSP vs Camborne

Under 12: Drew 4-4

Camborne were not able to provide a full 7 a side team and therefore had to borrow a player from us every quarter in order to make the fixture worthwhile. The girls at times didn’t come forwards for the ball and therefore in the windy conditions their long high balls were intercepted or went off the court. As the match progressed they started to work themselves into a better shooting position, not taking shots from the edge of the D but working together to help the GA and GS get closer to the post.

Under 13: Won 12-2

A new group of girls played in this match, many not having played in a competitive fixture this term. Truro dominated the game with some excellent play from Molly at Centre. Antonia moved and shot incredibly well in difficult conditions. Milly made many turn overs when playing at both WD and GD. A great performance. Issy was voted player of the match by the opposition.

Under 14: Lost 5-10

In very blustery conditions the Under 14 B team put in a good performance. They passed the ball well but lacked consistency throughout the match. Camborne made the most of their chances and went into the lead in the 2nd quarter. Truro persevered and continued to work hard. They fought back in the final quarter but ran out of time. Connie was voted as player of the match. Special mention goes to Martha, Aerin and Lily who all played superbly.

Under 15: Won 26-4

The Under 15 squad players dominated the game from the start, scoring the first nine goals and never looking back. The girls worked the ball into the circle sensibly and were in control throughout to combat the adverse conditions. Encouragingly, the goals were shared fairly equally amongst four different shooters.
