Malvern Boarding Update – 21 September 2015 – First Aid Training

This weekend the Malvern girls did many activities both inside and outside the house. On Friday, most of the girls relaxed at the boarding house and whilst Ali watched the Rugby, Agne was supporting Lithuania at the basketball European Cup. This was accompanied by popcorn and ice-cream, of course!

Boarding on Saturday

On Saturday Anna, Julia, Sasha and Agne went to the Hub Box to have a burger, which was fun and very filling too. Imogen played Netball for Truro School against Millfield, we were so proud of her she played very well. Ali was there to support her! Penelope, Ankie, Yuki and the rest of the girls decided to catch up with their work and spent the afternoon at the library. After this very long day, everyone went to sleep early.

Boarding on Sunday

On Sunday we all went to the First Aid Course at the Ben Ainsle Sports Hall. This was not only great fun as we all did the activity together but we also got to try some of our first aid interventions on Resus Annie. In the afternoon everyone did their homework and when the weekly boarders came back to the house everyone sat in the living room and discussed their weekend!

Another lovely weekend in boarding and we were so proud that around 30 boarders in all achieved their first aid certificates via the residential curriculum programme.
