Junior Girls’ Boarding Update: 27 February 2017

On Sunday the girls arrived back in quick succession, with Paula returning from a week with her sister and friend in Malpas, Truro, and Stephanie, Cherry and Victoria returned from a week with their guardians. Both myself and Mrs Mulready collected the final few from the train station. Anson certainly had the longest journey travelling back from Hong Kong! Amy thoroughly enjoyed her week away on the surf trip to Portugal and when I ask her how it was she replied ‘EPIC’!

The girls were quick to get back into the swing of things, with attendance to various after school clubs and prep. On Friday evening the house was very quiet with all the girls making their way up to the gym for an hour long work out.

Helena was incredibly busy on Friday and Saturday, singing as part of Truro Cathedral Choir, recording a CD of the work of Philip Stopford with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. Despite feeling very tired she thoroughly enjoyed the experience. As I write she is busy catching up with all of her prep! Hopefully we will have some photographs to show you next week.

While Cherry was working hard in the DT block on Saturday morning the rest of the girls made their way into town. I was really delighted to see all of the girls going into town together as a House, it just shows how well the girls get on with one another!

On Saturday evening the girls joined the Senior Girls for a Dominoes treat! Conscious of not letting the fitness slip several of them were seen working out in the common room despite having eaten numerous slices of pizzas!

On Sunday all of the boarding community came together for an afternoon of Yoga. The girls joined the junior boys for an hour long session. As you can see from the photos they had a great time.

Next week, the girls will be joining the whole boarding community for an afternoon of first aid.
