Junior Boys’ Boarding Update – 23 May 2016

The last weekend of this half term saw a relaxed time for a change. Friday was the usual round of prep and activities in the Sir Ben Ainslie Sports Centre.

Mrs Mulready was on duty on Saturday and gave the boys the normal round of pizzas and chicken for supper. The weather was variable but the boys still made the most of every opportunity to use the garden to play football, taking on the ‘crossbar challenge’ and playing their music.

After a lie in on Sunday and a hearty brunch, the boys chose to go and see the new X-men Apocalypse movie. So I took them down and treated them to drinks and copious amounts of popcorn! It would be rude not to have a huge box of popcorn at the cinema! The verdict was generally good…

With a hearty roast of beef, chicken, pork and lamb for supper the boys were set up for a new week ahead and the prospect of a week off. Exams are starting on Monday 13 June so plenty of revision time as well as some rest and relaxation should be the order of the day… to quote a well known phrase “If you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail.”
