Junior Boys’ Boarding Update: 13 March 2017

This weekend we saw that winter has well and truly passed and Spring is here. There are numerous flowers in full bloom around the buildings and grounds of Poltisco, there was also the welcome sight of some late afternoon sun. The evenings are starting to pull out and the boys will soon be able to burn off some of their energy on the school playing fields.

During the week the boys have been busy. Trevor had his artwork displayed in County Schools art show. This is a very prestigious art show that displays the best schools’ artwork throughout the county. The initial private viewing took place at The Lander Gallery during Thursday evening when Trevor took Jack as a guest.

We wish good luck to Roman who left us earlier in the week to compete in fencing competitions in France. Later in the week he is then joining the Truro School fencing team at Crystal Palace to compete in the GB Independent schools fencing championships.

On Saturday Anthony left early and travelled to Taunton to play football for the Under 15 team. Cam also left early to complete in the Regional finals of the ‘National Youth Speaks’ competition.

Later in the evening the boys enjoyed listening to music in the common room, watching music videos on MTV and they certainly enjoyed the England rugby victory against Scotland and of course the obligatory pizzas were devoured.

Sunday saw us welcome James into Poltisco as a flexi- boarder this week. The Sunday outing ‘part one’ was to a house favourite; the Plaza cinema to watch King Kong scull Island in 3D. The boys really enjoyed the movie and the 3D experience. The outing ‘part two’ was to Sam’s in the City. Where the Trennick and Poltisco boys enjoyed a meal out together. Each of the boys really enjoyed the gourmet burgers with a selection of various toppings.
