Headmaster’s Blog, 2 October 2015

Apologies first. We appear to have had a problem with our phone system this week, which seemed to be sending all incoming calls to the answerphone. I am assured that the problem has now been rectified and that we should be back to normal.

We are all still bowled over by Madison Glinski’s success at the Just Giving Awards Ceremony where she won their national award for Fundraiser of the Year. This is an extraordinary achievement for anyone, let alone a pupil in Year 6. So, congratulations from all of us here, Madi. We are so proud of you for what you have achieved!

I am delighted to be welcoming Mrs Lisa Reed to the school on Monday. Lisa will be looking after Mrs Eva’s class at least up until half-term and beyond if necessary. She has been a teacher at Bolitho and so is well known to a number of our newer pupils and I have absolutely no doubt that she will be an excellent addition to the team over the coming weeks.

We would all like to wish Mr Lord and his wife well as the delivery of their first child looks imminent. Clearly this may have implications for next week’s Year 3 parents evenings, so we will endeavour to keep all those who might be affected informed.

Finally, well done to Year 4 for successfully completing their walk yesterday. They were apparently very well-behaved and great fun to take.
