Football Summary – Week Beginning 27 April 2015

Three senior football games have taken place over the Easter period.

Former Pupils Game

On Easter Saturday the 1st XI entertained a Former Pupils team. Whilst the 1st XI had most of the possession the Former Pupils always looked dangerous on the break. However, the 1st XI were a little too strong in the end and recorded a 3-0 win.

1st XI vs Newquay Tretherras

The 1st XI played Newquay Tretherras in the semi-final of the league cup. A very even game saw Newquay take the lead, only for Francis Lowry to immediately equalise. Newquay scored again on the stroke of half-time with a shot from 20 yards.

The 2nd half saw Truro pushing for an equaliser and had three penalty appeals turned down. Unfortunately Truro could not find that goal and bowed out of this year’s competition.

2nd XI vs Camborne

The 2nd XI travelled to Camborne to play a league fixture. This ended in a comprehensive 9-0 win for Truro, with Charlie Hatcher scoring four and Ryan Yung three. The boys played some outstanding football.
