Quiz Night - Friday 5th October 2007

On Friday October 5th whilst the juniors "Discoed" the TSS hosted a Quiz Night in the school dining room to help raise funds for the Truro School Rugby Tour to South Africa "Habitat for Humanity" Project Summer 2008.

 

The evening was a huge success with an excellent attendance from parents, staff and pupils - with £1100 raised on ticket sales and a raffle organised by the the Rugby Boys bringing the total to £1684.04. As pre-arranged the TSS will double this figure to help the Tour on their way next summer.

 

Last year's winning team of parents provided the questions - all done very professionally with a wine tasting question round to get things going!

 

Teams with some very strange sounding names vied with each other answering some challenging questions and watched results flash up on a white board to show just who hadn't done their homework!!!

 

Everyone enjoyed an excellent basket supper - thanks to David and the kitchen staff - new parents were welcomed and there was enthusiastic support for the Township Building Project that the staff and boys will get involved with as part of their tour.

 

The TSS Committee look forward to welcoming parents and friends to the next event planned to coincide with the Junior Disco - a Wine and Cheese Evening on February 1st 2008. We will need to do extensive research for this - obviously!! Watch this space for further details.
